McKinney-Vento/Assistance for Homeless Families Statement
Warren County Technical School is committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of their living situation, have access to a quality education. In accordance with the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, we recognize the importance of providing support to homeless families and their children.
The McKinney-Vento Act defines "homeless" as individuals who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. This includes children and youth who are sharing the housing of other persons due to loss of housing or economic hardship, living in motels, hotels, trailer parks, or emergency or transitional shelters, or residing in places not designed for sleeping accommodations.
Warren County Technical School is committed to helping students and families in transition who are experiencing homelessness. The school district administration and the teachers work together with families to help homeless students continue to be successful in school.
